Principal's message

"It is my privilege to welcome you to Box Hill High School, A new school with an ambitious vision for the young people and community we are building together.

At Box Hill High School, we believe every student deserves to feel known, valued and inspired to achieve their personal best. We want our students to develop strong academic foundations alongside the confidence, curiosity, creativity and character to make a positive contribution to the world around them.

Our motto, Inspired to Grow, reflects our belief that growth looks different for every student. It may be discovering a passion, developing a new skill, overcoming a challenge or finding your voice. Our role is to provide the opportunities, relationships and learning experiences that enable every young person to grow.

Our Growth Framework provides a shared vision for learning, wellbeing and opportunity, with a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, wellbeing, innovation, transition, global citizenship and high potential and gifted education. We are committed to creating opportunities for every student to identify their strengths, extend their thinking and experience success.

As a new school, we have a unique opportunity to build something special. Through our P–12 Connected Community and One Learning Journey, we are creating strong connections between primary and secondary education and building a shared sense of belonging for students and families.

Learning extends well beyond the classroom. Through STEM and robotics, sport, creative and performing arts, competitions, leadership, clubs, camps and community experiences, students are encouraged to explore their passions and discover new possibilities.

Ultimately, a great school is defined by its people. We are building a school where students are kind and curious, where their voices matter, where they are supported to take risks in their learning, and where they are challenged to become their best selves.
